How to export your WhatsApp chat
WhatsApp can save any conversation as a plain text file. It takes about a minute, and you stay in control of the file the whole time.

Open WhatsApp and go to the chat you want to analyze.

Tap the contact or group name at the top to open chat info.

Scroll down and tap “Export Chat”.

Choose “Without Media” — this keeps the file small and text only.

Save the .txt file to Files, Notes, or send it to yourself.
Always export without media. BetweenChats only reads the text file, and a media export can be hundreds of megabytes.

Export on the phone that has the history
WhatsApp exports whatever is stored on that device. If you switched phones, the older device may hold more of the conversation.
